Hey, I am Akemi !
I am a multidisciplinary practitioner working across cultural systems, design, and futures thinking.
My practice explores how large-scale systems—social, political, technological, and cultural—shape the way people live, relate, and imagine the future. I am interested in how these abstract structures become visible in everyday experience through institutions, brands, products, and material culture.
Across my work, I move between analysis and creation: interpreting cultural signals, translating them into systems of meaning, and expressing them through research, visual design, and narrative forms.
My background spans International Relations and Global Political Economy, alongside professional experience in digital transformation, product development, and visual design.
Rather than treating futures as prediction, I approach them as cultural constructions shaped by values, attention, and collective imagination.
I am drawn to the spaces where institutions, technologies, and aesthetics shape not only how systems function, but how they are experienced by people.
